The shorter, let’s-get-down-to-business bio:
I’ve always wanted to be a writer—ever since I saw my first TV commercial and wondered how to pen those clever ads. After getting a journalism degree, I landed a copywriting job at an ad agency where I worked for several years before joining the nonprofit world. I’m the author of four published novels and an e-short, plus the creator of The Eavesdropper, a publication on Substack . When not in front of the computer, I’m behind the drums (slightly) annoying my neighbors.

The longer, I-promise-not-to-make-you-yawn bio:
By day, I write articles, email campaigns, scripts, and website and social media content for a nonprofit association. At night and on weekends, I work on my novels and there’s usually chocolate involved.
I constantly get story ideas and a few of them have actually made the cut! My debut novel, Among the Branded, released in May 2017 and reached #1 on the Amazon bestseller list in its genre. My second book, The Secret We Lost, follows three generations and a secret that threatens to tear them apart. Love the Way They Lie, which released in December 2021, begs the question: When are lies forgivable and/or acceptable? And, yes, there’s a fourth! The Incompletes, which released in September 2024, features moral dilemmas, unexpected discoveries, and a dash of rock-n-roll and suspense.
I live in the DC area and love playing the drums. It’s super fun, great for my hearing, and much better than going to the gym.
In case I don’t get the chance to give an award-acceptance speech for my killer bowling skills, I’d like to thank my family and friends for everything. A special shout-out goes to Chef Boyardee who has been in my home on several occasions to help prepare dinner.
