The shorter, let’s-get-down-to-business bio:
I’ve always wanted to be a writer—ever since I saw my first TV commercial and wondered how to pen those clever ads. After getting a journalism degree, I landed a copywriting job at an ad agency where I worked for several years before joining the nonprofit world. I’m the author of three published novels and currently working on my fourth. When not in front of the computer, I’m behind the drums (slightly) annoying my neighbors.
The longer, I-promise-not-to-make-you-yawn bio:
By day, I write articles, email campaigns, scripts, and website and social media content for a nonprofit association. At night and on weekends, I work on my novels and there’s usually chocolate involved.
My debut, Among the Branded, released in May 2017 and reached #1 on the Amazon bestseller list in its genre. My second novel, The Secret We Lost, follows three generations and a secret that threatens to tear them apart. Love the Way They Lie, which released in December 2021, begs the question: If/when are lies forgivable and/or acceptable? And I’m currently working on my fourth book.
I live in the DC area and love playing the drums. It’s super fun, great for my hearing, and much better than going to the gym.
In case I don’t get the chance to give an award-acceptance speech for my killer bowling skills, I’d like to thank my family and friends for everything. A special shout-out goes to Chef Boyardee who has been in my home on several occasions to help prepare dinner.
